The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Contest was founded in 1923. For more than a century, this organization has inspired bold ideas in creative teens throughout the country.
This year Central York High School celebrates 14 South Central PA regional winners in the Scholastic Writing Contest.
Venice Brennan and Serenity Englar both received a Gold Key award for their Poetry pieces and will automatically be entered into a National competition which will be announced on June 12th. National Medalists are eligible for scholarships of up to $12,500.
Sixteen other Central writers received either Silver Key or Honorable mentions for their writing pieces in a variety of categories.

The Scholastic Writing and Art contest is accepting entries for 2024 beginning September 1st. There are over 25 writing categories.

The CYHS iTeam and CYiRacing clubs are selling Marianna's Subs and Pizza from now through April 24. Item delivery is Thursday May 2 during Flex.
Subs available: Italian, All American, Ham & Swiss, Sweet Lebanon Bologna, Ham Club, Roast Beef, Smoked Ham & Cheddar, Turkey, Traditional, and Three Cheese
Pizzas Available: Pepperoni, White, Cheese (pizzas are frozen)
Club members have tried this food and all agree that it tastes great. Items are made the morning they are delivered.

The National Honor Society will be renting our prom attire to students again this year! We will have shopping events on April 25 and May 13 during flex. Make sure to get a pass ahead of time. You can see Miss Grove in room 505 with any questions.
