The Career Center will be taking students on a campus tour to Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on Tuesday, October 7th from 9:30am to 11:00am. The areas of focus for this tour will be Computer Integrated Machining, Heating & Ventilation, and Air Conditioning – Refrigeration, Metals Fabrication & Welding Technology. Registration is new OPEN! YCAL is offering Career Exploration Programs this fall. It is on a first come first serve basis, and students must provide their own transportation. There are 17 programs available. Please stop by the Career Center for more information.
The ASVAB will be given at CYHS to any 10th, 11th or 12th grader, who is interested, on
Thursday, October 9th. Please stop by the Office of School Counseling to pick up a permission form. All permission forms are due on Wednesday, October 8th.
National English Honor Society is now accepting applications for admission. Students interested in joining must be juniors or seniors who have completed two high school level English courses and have an unweighted overall GPA of 3.5. Applications can be found outside room 528 and must be completed and returned to either Mrs. Detwiler in room 528 or Ms. Goodrich in room 529 no later than Friday September 26th at 3pm. No late applications will be accepted.
Juniors who are interested in registering for the PSAT should refer to the email sent by Mr. Zelinka on 8/25/25 to sign up. Registration closes 9/18/25 at 3pm. Due to test ordering system, students interested in registering after that date may not be considered. There is no cost to register for the PSAT as a Junior.
