9th Grade Students, York County School of Technology is now accepting applications from 9th grade students who are interested in attending YCST full-time for the remainder of high school. The Central York High School Counseling Department invites students from ALL grades and their families to attend Preparing for Your Future: Understanding Your College & Career Options on Thursday, October 8 from 6 to 7 pm in the Auditorium.
This event will begin with a discussion about all of the options available after high school graduation, then participants will attend a session to learn about either the college admissions process, military & public service opportunities, or alternate career pathways (such as apprenticeships, credentialing, and direct to work options. Students in grades 9, 10, 11, 12 (and their parents) are encouraged to attend.

The York Builders Association Workforce NOW Foundation is hosting their Annual Building Trades Career Fair on Wednesday, October 28th from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Employers will share information about career opportunities, training programs, and apprenticeships. Hands-on activities, tools of the trades, and equipment will be on displays for the students. If you are interested in attending, please stop by the Career Center to sign up. CYHS will provide transportation.

The School Counseling Office is offering a College Admissions Day on November 10th and 11th where school counselors will guide students through the application process. Students will have the option to apply to HACC, Millersville University, Shippensburg University, and/or York College for FREE here at school. Wellspan Health is hosting a hands-on, interactive day of discovery for high school students and their parents/guardians on Saturday, October 24th from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
